downgrade rights
i asked if i should get xp or vista. i think everyone recomends xp. someone told me about downgrade rights and heres a website about it http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...rencesheet.pdf im want to know if anyone can explain it to me a little more. i have a copy of xp mce for my windows computer and i want to get xp for my macbook pro. i understand that if i buy vista i can use the xp i already have and put it on my macbook and keep it on my other computer. can someone help me a little cause im not sure if thats right and if it is how would i do that. wouldnt i need another serial for xp?

From what I can tell, if for example you purchase Windows Vista Ultimate but you want to have Windows XP first before rolling into Vista, you can install Windows XP (Pro, Tablet, or Pro x64 versions) then when you want to go to Vista, the install will be easy. However...

I am not too sure on how the Downgrade Install works (perhaps this should be in the Windows XP/Vista forums) but I'm pretty sure that it will not include having XP on the Macbook.
