autocad on a mac
anyone familiar with how autocad runs on a mac? i know its possible thru the use of software like parallels and bootcamp, but from some research i looked over, there were a few issues with the program (i.e. the cursor not changing when its over the model space). if anyone can tell me how it runs please do as we are considering getting a mac and how well mac runs autocad makes or breaks the buy.

I wouldn't even try running it through VMware or Parallels, it's too slow. Use Boot Camp, it turns your Mac into a PC, there is very little difference between that Mac and a similarly configured PC. So, AutoCAD should work fine under Boot Camp.
