cant upgrade online.
long story short , i bought a used mac notebook. when i connect to to the net to upgrade so that i can install i life 08 .it wont let me uprgade because it says it is locked and it shows the owners name but i dont know the password. there is no way to contact the original owner. thus i am shutting down and not logging off because it might also ask me for username and password.
so when i get on the net to upgrade the latest i tunes, i movie, i photo etc. the box comes up with the username already there but like i said, i dont know her password.
i bought it last week and am frustrated that i am unable to do this.
what can i do..........

Hi and welcome. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with password problems as we have no way of knowing who owns the system.
