Leopard disables Quicktime
I have upgraded to Leopard on an Intel Mac. I have immediately lost part of the functionality of Quicktime (latest version). Some files do open (slowly) but on many occasions I get a Quicktime logo with a question mark thereon. Also, download speed for most files has decreased alarmingly. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello --

Are you using Quicktime Pro?

Have you updated your software? System Preferences/Quicktime and System Preferences/Software Update. (I assume so as you state you have the latest version of QT.)

Also - have you tried verifying & repairing permissions? Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

Hope that helps.

Leopard disables Quicktime.
Many thanks for that, Yankee Rose.

Repairing the permissions appears to have solved the problem.

Macprob.
