Smile Blue boxes
Whenever I log on to certain web sites, in some areas I notice blue boxes with question marks. What am I missing? I have an imac 10.5.

Hi royceem --

What web browser are you using? Have you tried the same sites using Firefox?

First - check that your preferences are correct in Safari. Click Safari > Preferences > Appearance > Make sure the box that says "Display Images When The Page Opens" is checked.

Next, download and install the Firefox web browser (see my prior post for a link) and try to load the same suspect pages with it.

Safari tends to be pretty strict with web sites improperly coded, so if Firefox displays the pages properly but Safari doesn't, it's a safe bet to assume poor coding.

I've also seen where certain ISPs can be the culprit. Are you using AT&T by chance?

Hope that helps.
