Exclamation Mac OS 10.4.11 Screen & Curser Distortion
I was trying to combine keystroke combinations, using Shift - Option - command and other keys, to find a specific hidden key character.

All of a sudden, the desktop screen - regardless of application being used or even Finder - is slightly magnified and moves the screen contents slightly in the opposite direction that the curser moves.

In other words, if I move the curser to the left, the entire display screen moves slightly (3/4" or so) to the right.

It moves the MEnu commands off the screen and also the Dock control panel off the screen.

I have re-started and I still have the same annoying effect.

Any suggestions to resume normal screen viewing operation?

Thanks !

You probably have Zoom mode or something enabled. Open the System Preferences, go to Universal Access and turn off zoom.

Peter,

You were right, as I discovered late yesterday, when I finally got through to Apple.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider my tech request.

Did that call to Apple cost a lot? Never had to deal with Apple support before.....
