considering a mac pro have some questions
i have a few questions about various things.

1. how well does the mac pro keep itself cool under stress, i plan on using boot camp for gaming.

2. although i know there is alot of processor you get with the system but can it be upgraded in the future...how do i know what socket type the processor is.

3. can boot camp install windows on a second HDD then, after the install use a third one for files that i might want to use on both OS X and windows such as music or vidoes and the like.

4. do you have to restart the computer anytime you wanna switch between OS's or do you have to restart the computer everytime.

1. Very well
2. That depends on how the architecture changes---I wouldn't buy an Apple with the intent of upgrading the CPU in the future.
3. No
4. You have to restart.

if you have a mac with intel core 2s in it and you switch to faster core 2s that have the same socket type it shouldnt matter. unless macs work differently on the hardware side then PCs

Parallels allows you to work with OS X and Windows at the same time. (Just in case this is important to you.)

Yes, I realize that -- I was just throwing it into the discussion in case running both OSs was important to him or in case anyone else reading this might need that option.

1. very very well.. especially if you run a fan control device....
3. MAKE SURE you don't skimp on the hard drive space because of cost.. i am going to sell my mbp and get one of the new ones just because i don't have enough hdd space.
