Solved: Help - Installing Win XP on a Mac
I am trying to install Win XP SP2 on a brand new Macbook. I created a 32 GB Win partition, started the installation, tried choosing both FAT 32 and NFTS, ran through the installation. Everything was fine.

The computer restarts in order to run the Windows setup and I receive an error - Disk Error - Press any key to start.

I can get back into OSX. I tried removing the partition and recreating it an trying again but the same result. The computer is brand new - could there be something wrong with the installer disk?

Any advice?

Are you using Boot Camp assistant to do the install. Also, the disk might be damaged and can't be read.

The forum helped. The issue was that I didn't format the partition using the Windows installer. I incorrectly assumed that Boot Camp did it for me.

Thanks
