I'm looking for a free download manager...
Someone I know who has a Mac uses a dial up connection and is having trouble download large files. I'm wanting to suggest a download manager to handle the download so she can get the file over a period of a couple days. What is a good one for Mac OS?

Do you have Firefox, or just Safari? (if you don't have Firefox, I'd recommend downloading it)

I know Firefox has a built-in download manager, that lets you resume interrupted downloads. And if you don't like their default, you can use extensions in Firefox to add new ones. Like this Download Manager Tweak

Firefox has lots of extensions for downloading here
