AVI is a windows format for saving videos. You should be able to call up your project again and save it in a more Mac friendly format like .mov (QuickTime) or you could download the free VLC Media Player to play the AVI files (and many others) on your Mac.

Good luck.

although helpmerick said to you vlc i would not recommend it..sorry rick i dont mean to dis on you.
i would recommend a program called MPEG streamclip..
it is made by a company called squaredfive..
if you called up apple that is what they would tell you is to download this program and convert it to mp4 or .mov....
http://www.squared5.com/
try it out..
works pretty good.

No problem at all Dannyn...that's what is great about this board...sharing the knowledge. I have had good luck with VLC on Windows, Mac, and Linux, but will take a look at the Streamclip program.

Have a good day.

one other reason that i recommend using that is if you have to call apple they will tell you to download that program.. so you will be a step ahead if it escalates to that
cool website rick ( i posted a comment too)

Hi Jeanmand:

Did you use Final Cut Pro to make the movie? What version of FCP?

Have you tried trashing your preferences? Here is some useful information.

Hope that helps!
