Exclamation Apple DVD Player Help
Hey Everyone,
My friend has a macbook with leopard 10.5.2 on it. The problem she is having is when she puts in a DVD, and opens it using front row she gets an error saying that the DVD cannot be played. Also, when she then tries to open it in Apple DVD Player, she gets an error message when opening DVD Player that the playback framework has failed to initilize, that something is in use and the DVD won't play. Is there a way to delete DVD Player and reinstall it, or does anyone know anything about this problem and how to fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

don't delete the dvd player software right away. check on the apple website for the dvd player software download. if it's there and you can download it just go ahead and try the reinstall. if it's not there, check download.com in the mac section. they might have it there. if they don't they probably have a good substitute that you can try. but until you for sure can get a new install of the dvd player software i wouldn't delete it right away.

you might also be able to boot off the install or repair disc and see if it'll repair the software on your mac. it could just be a buggy install.
