boot camp
Hi,
I have a Mac OS X. I have recently been looking into starting up with Forex trading but their platform does not support Mac. I am considering installing Boot Camp so that I may run Windows, but I'm very concerned about viruses infecting my system. I am very new to computers still and I'm uncertain of my abilities in the event I do get a virus. I will only be using Windows for the Forex. I guess my main question is, if I do indeed get a virus while running Windows, will it infect my OS X as well? Please answer in lay mans terms.....still new remember....
thanks so much

No. The operating systems are completely separate. Moreover, malware that affects Windows will not be coded in a way that is even understandable to the Mac OS.

Still, you should have some sort of protection on both partitions. Clam AV for the Windows side, and Clam XAV for the Mac side should be sufficient, so long as you update each regularly.

Best of luck. And keep reminding this Forex entity (I'm unfamiliar, so forgive me) that there are Mac users of their products. The more noise you (and those like you) make, the more likely they'll get the hint.
