Solved: Password for Max OS-X
I have an unusual problem, or at least I hope it's unusual. I found my friend of more than 30 years dead a couple of weeks ago. I'm her beneficiary, and my husband and had recently bought her an iMac. We just finished with the funeral, etc., last week, and today I set up the iMac for the first time.

All went well until I left it alone to answer the phone, and the screensaver came on. It's password protected, so now I can't get the screensaver off. We're hoping to find some of her contacts on the computer to let them know she died, but have no idea whether there's a way to find or bypass the password protection.

I'm a PC person and have no idea how to do much of anything with a Mac. If no one can help here, is it possible that if I provide the death certificate, etc. to the Apple people, they'll be able to help?

Just looking for ideas, here, I guess. Thanks if anyone has any.
