Setting up printer
Just got a beautiful new Mac with a 27" screen. Can't get my HP Photosmart 7550 to work.
Goes thru the motions, but nothing happens. Then when I put it to sleep and wake it up I get a message that there's a pinter problem. It suggests I unplug the printer, then it prints the document. Hope you can help.

Hi there:

Have you checked to see if HP has updated drivers for Snow Leopard from their website?

Take a look at this article from Apple. It lists your HP 7550 as available on the Snow Leopard install CD as Gutenprint. Read where it says: Printer compatibility drivers (CUPS, Gutenprint).

Hope that helps! And I'm envious of your 27" iMac!
