USB hibernate question
I have a MacBook Pro. Every time I plug in or unplug an USB cord and the computer is in "Sleep" mode, the computer will wake-up. Any idea how to turn this option off?

Thanks.

Hi KeithKman -

You, and a lot of other Mac users, wish this were possible but it is not.

Earlier versions of OSX would crash the system upon plug/unplug of USB in sleep. The only way to really workaround this is to unmount a USB device before putting it the computer into Sleep Mode.

Note that the computer will go back to sleep in X amount of minutes again after it awakens.

Hope that helps.

Interesting. I hate unplugging an USB device and forgetting the MacBook will wake up since I have it to stay on always and not go back to sleep after a certain amount of time.

Pretty annoying. Thanks for the help though.

Why not just hit command+option+eject and force it to immediately to go back to sleep?
