Unhappy New to mac and DSL
Heres my problem.I have a power Mac G3,running OS 10.28.I subscribed to AT+T's DSL service.Upon setting it up,AT+T says dont try to connect to the net untill all lights on the modem are solid green.Well, the light for ACTIVITY wont come on at all. When I do try to connect to the web the computer either shuts down the monitor and freezes up,or it wil spend hours saying its retreving my system info {via an explorer window connected to AT+T ] What do I do? Im thankful for all replies .Please remember your talking to a tech idiot. thanks

Hi medici712:

It sounds to me like perhaps the modem supplied to you from AT&T is bad, since you say the light for activity will not come on at all. Either that or the modem is not detecting any data on the DSL line. I suggest phoning AT&T to inquire.

Hope that helps!
