I have my resume in ms works, and even though it is now one page, at some point, it spilled over into 2, and I can't get rid of the 2nd blank page now. When I fax it- my cover sheet automatically generates it as part of the whole- ie. page 1 of 3 . the receiver is then confused and may or may not call to ask about it, and i am afraid it appears very unprofessional. I have tried to "save as" using a different file name, and it still has a 2nd blank page. this is very annoying. any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Cool Hi Alexicat, and welcome to TSG!
Usually, the best way to get rid of this problem is just to go all the way to the end of the document (you can try using the ctrl-end key combination to take you to the end). Then, hit your backspace key slowly to back up and delete any paragraph returns that might be at the end of your document.

Another reason this can occur "without you having changed anything" is because some printers are capable of printing closer to the edge of the page than others. The easiest way to fix this, assuming you've got the "Word" version of the word processing in Works, is to go to Print Preview. There is a button at the top of the screen that says something like "make fit". Try that.

If that's not available or doesn't work, I can always take a look at the file for you. Feel free to email it. I'm very good at fixing these kinds of problems and I'll let you know how I fixed it too.

Thanks Dreamboat! Using the backspace key did indeed fix the extra page! I knew it was something really simple, but I could'nt find it.
