Problem:
1) I want to email a table in Outlook.
2) The table has been created in Word.
3) I want the table to retain its format of cells when it arrives.
4) I want to send and receive the table in the body of the email and not as an attachment.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I have tried using Word97 with Outlook97 and Word2000 with Outlook2000. I have tried sending from Outlook and sending from Word. I have tried using an Outlook template.

Anybody got any other ideas?

Thanks

I would imagine the only way to email a table without an attachment would be to send your email as an HTML email, and create (or convert your word table) your table in HTML.... but I could be wrong

Lightbulb Emailing a table in Outlook
Thanks I tried saving as HTML already. The problem there is that when I copy and paste the HTML document into Outlook the cell structure of what it looked like in Word HTML is lost.

For example. In the Word HTML document, words wrap in cells that are too small forcing the cell to grow downwards. When I copy and paste the Word HTML table into Outlook, the cells expand to the right instead and this causes other columns to misalign.

I would email it from Word. Then it will retain all formats and still be in the body of the email when it arrives.

Try this - it worked for me:

Word 2000, Outlook 2000.

First, i checked to make sure outlook was sending e-mail as html. Then i created a table in Word, clicked on

File
Send to
Mail Recipient (not as attachment)

Send

No cutting and pasting necessary. Give it a shot.
