I am currently upgrading all of the NT4 workstations on my network to office 2000 from office 97.
But have noticed somwthing peculiar on all 3 I have done so far.
Word documents do not have either minimize or mazimize buttons.
Word itself does, but the individual docs dont.
I have looked throughout all the toolbar options and cannot find anything.
Can anyone tell me how to get them back??
Is it a problem with the instillation?
Excel, access, etc seem trouble free, this is all I have found so far.
Surely this is not supposed to be this way?

Hi ren

I do not have Word 2000 installed myself, but I understand when opening a new document in Word 2000 that another instance of word starts unless you have applied the Single Document Interface (update/service release/patch) whatever you want to call it.

Could that be the reason?

I have Word 2000 installed, and I only have one minimize button for the program and not the document. I assumed this was just an addition to program. If you have more than one document open, you can use that minimize button to minimize one document, and it will not minimize the entire program.

Hi ren

I cheated
I was at the bookstore today and peeked inside one of the Word 2000 books. The picture shows Word 2000 with the
Minimize, Restore, Cancel buttons and only the
Cancel button on the document itself.

So your installation sounds fine.
