I have just installed Outlook 2000 and cant work out how to allow each of the four users of my computer to access their own seperate account. When I place anything in the diary all users can access it. Any Ideas please. Brain not functioning today!!!!!!

Hi Eliterate

Did you set up Profiles? Start>Settings>Control Panel>Users

What operating system are you using?

Let us know.

OK, what mode are you running Outlook 2000 in?
Help>About Microsoft Outlook

One of the following should be listed on or near the second line.
Corporate/Workgroup (CW) or Internet Mail Only (IMO)?

You can do this one of two ways:

1) Uninstall Outlook 2000, remove and set up your user profiles again and then install Outlook 2000.

or

2) IMO mode: if you installed Outlook before setting up user profiles you need to delete the following key in the registry AFTER you log in as a NEW user (to eliminate the profile that is copied to each new user from the original user):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Messaging
Subsystem\Profiles\Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings

When you startup Outlook the first time it will recreate that profile for a new user with a new .pst file.

Remember to Always backup your registry before making any changes, in the event of unexpected results.

Let us know if this works for you or not.
