Hi

I have some 8 to 10 standard e-mails that I send out on a daily/weekly basis, and i am getting fed up with typing them in each time and also want to get some standard setup for my customers.

I have tried to set up STATIONARY with the relevant test in each letter but this has failed.

I now use DRAFT e-mails but each time I send it out the DRAFT e-mail is sent.

What I need is a way of selecting a e-mail entering in the personal information and date etc and then sending it, with the original still there to be used again and again.

Does anyone know how to do this please

I would be very gratefull
Thanks
Phil

Hi MegaScan
Welcome to Tech Support Guy Bulletin Board

Open a new mail message, fill in the information you want it to contain (or draft if you already have one created), click on File>Save As. Save it to your desktop or My Documents folder, I have Outlook 98 and the Save as file types options are: (text only)*.txt, (outlook template)*.oft or (message format)*.msg.

Give your new file a name and hit Save. When you need to send that particular message again, open the message template, fill in the To: information and hit the Send button. Your file will close and be at the ready for you to access it again, (it will not disappear like the drafts messages do).

You can also, fill in the To: Cc: or Bcc: information before saving if a particular person always receives that message.

Let us know if this works for you or not.

Smile Your solution was just perfect
Hi

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I was checking out all the options you has given me for the best one, for speed ease of access, backup etc etc.

This now gives me a list of all the e-mails I may send and a standard format accross them all, giving my customers a better and more consistant service.

Thank you very much for your help over this matter, it is greatly appreciated

Thanks
MegaScan.

I use this too. In each OFT file I use, I can tell it where I want to save the SENT email also.
