I have MS word that came with my computer, I also have MS word on Office 2000. I never had any trouble until I had to do a restore. Now no matter which one I try to open it wants to install with that long series of numbers. I have the correct numbers for both of them, but it says they are not valid. What can I do to make either one of them work?

You said you restored the computer. Did you format the hard drive when you did it.

If not the Office 2000 information is still probably still in the registry.

To clear the registry run the following program. This will clean out your registry of Office 2000 and you should get a clean install.
