When I open Outlook 2007 the program begins opening then a bubble pops up from the system tray icon that says "A data file did not close properly the last time it was used and is being checked for problems. Performance might be affected while the check is in progress." Then Outlook closes unexpectedly (the main window disappears and so does the system tray message and icon.)
I have tried going into Add/Remove programs and using the "repair" utility but when I do that it says the repair was unsuccessful and then I get a message to restart my computer. What is happening here? Please help me! I'm frustrated and my organized life depends on Outlook!
Recently the following programs were installed on my system (could they be conflicting?):
-Comodo Antivirus Beta 2.0
-Comodo Antimalware
-Comodo Email Certificates (installed in Outlook)
-Dell Support Center v2.0.07311
-Google Desktop
-iTunes (and apparently there is some kind of iTunes Outlook plugin. As to why iTunes needs to integrate with Outlook is really beyond me.)
Also one thing I did notice when I go into the HIPS application control setting in Comodo Antivirus and click on "Manage Allow/Block list" it appears that Outlook is blocked. The thing is before it loads the whole list and before I get a chance to click "Allow" for Outlook the program closes unexpectedly. I tried uninstalling Comodo Antivirus and Malware and opening Outlook again but still no success. Could Comodo be blocking Outlook or is there another issue? I got Outlook to open once before when this happened but I when I closed Outlook and tried to reopen the same thing is happening again.
