symbols in WORD
Running OFFICE 97 on an HP8260 in ME. All of a sudden anything I prepare in WORD has the Paragraph symbol and a dot where there is a space.

I have been all over - well, not ALL over - WORD and cannot find how to get rid of these.

Ideas?

Click Tools -> Options. Click on the View tab. Under the section called Formatting Marks, the items checked will display special characters. My guess is at least Spaces and Paragraph Marks are checked. Remove the check marks, and you won't see those symbols anymore.

Thanks a bunch TechChick! I could have spent the rest of my life looking for this and never found it!

Thanks again,
