Not sure if this is hardware of software question.
In the last several days I have had to change the time in windows 98 3 times. I have an ASUS P5A/K6-2 400/128mpc100. Any ideas what could be going on? I'm not sure wether the BIOS clock or the RTC are getting off but the windows definetly is.

Thanks for any replies

Suggestion:-
1)Right, Replaces the Motherboard battery
2)Advance Power Management (APM) should be installed to keep time updated when system enters suspend mode activated by the bios power management. For Dos enviroments, you need to ad the statement, DEVICE=C:\DOS\POWER.EXE, in your CONFIG.SYS
3)Win 3.x & Win 9.x you need to install windows with the APM feature. A battery & power cord icon labeled "Power" will appear in the "Control Panel" Choose Advanced" in the Power Management field.

Good luck

Thanks Lee and IXAGR8

I had allready checked the battery. After making the post I had discovered the problem with the APM.

Thanks again for the quick reply

So, did APM fix the problem, or is the clock still off?
