Problem: I get this error everytime I try to boot up
When it happened: I was running WinNT workstation, and was loading DOS, the Dos install errored out and then I was getting nothing when rebooting, I then did Fdisk /mbr and now I get the new error.
What I have tried: I have reformated the drive, and ran scandisk on the partiton I am trying to get to work, I theen reinstalled DOS, it installed fine, but when I reboot same error, I then tried Sys c:, and still nothing, and did Fdisk /mbr again just to be sure, still get the error. I have no clue what might still be causing this, I can boot up with a boot disk, and can Dir on c: and see all the files, but cant load. My only guess is something is very wrong with the MBR

Run FDISK and make sure the partition is set to active.

If you are wiping the drive anyway, you should probably just delete the partition, reboot, then make a new one. NT likes to put stuff in the boot record for its own use.

The Part was active, but deleting all the parts and redoing them did the trick, Guess there was some left over stuff From NT in the MBR, thanks

Yeah, that sounds like NT alright!

I'll go ahead and close this now.
