Crystalrose is a friend of mine and I asked her to post here. She has a Canon BJC-250 and has tried to install the drivers that came with the printer but the test page still prints half a page.

Have you tried downloading the latest driver from the Canon website below?

I had the same exact thing happen with my Cannon BIC4300 ink jet printer. After months and months I was told to try the new drivers
at the Cannon site and that turned out to be the problem, new drivers!
Go to the site listed in the above reply and give it a try.
Let us know if that helped too.

OK, thanx guys. We have success. I spent two hours walking her through it on ICQ.. I should have thought about the Win98 drivers for an old printer.
