I have a couple of questions about Linux. I'm downloading PhatLinux at the moment, and would like your input on whether it is a good version of Linux. The reason I got it was because I don't want to re-partition my HD. The next question is if there is someplace I can go for a tutorial on the first steps with PhatLinux. Thanks.

Actually, I've never heard of PhatLinux, let me know how you like it.

I've also seen ZipSlack which is a distribution that you download as a Winzip file, and extract it to a folder. You use the dos loader "LOADLIN" to boot it, and it's only a 35 meg download.

As far as a tutorial or documentation, I would start at www.linuxdoc.org, by far the best documentation website for Linux that exists.

Well, as it turns out I'm not using PhatLinux. The version I downloaded had a bug with high resolution, and they didn't have the patch on the website. I instead downloaded WinLinux2000. This seems to be better for me since it actually configures linux through Windows (by detecting everything you have before setting up linux). I really like this version, although I'm still a newbie. Thanks for your input.
