RedHat's been around a while, and was long considered the best Linux for the "home user" or somebody that wasn't a big time guru.
That has changed.
I keep hearing nothing but wonderful things about Corel's linux, even though it's only version 1.0 (though that doesn't really matter, because they're on the current Linux kernel.)
The install takes around 10 minutes, start to finish, and (I've heard) automatically detects video, sound, and monitor!!!
I would recommend giving it a shot, but I'm not sure if they give you any partition software. If you don't have an extra Hard Drive, I would invest in Partition Magic. By far the best utility for drive partitioning, dual booting, and everything else that has to do with formatting and different filesystems.
