very simple question ...(I hope), whenever I try to ping somebody on irc it (client, *****x, ircII, kvirc) tells me:
"your own modes prohibt you from doing this".
How do I "fix" this?

Thanks in advance

Hmmm... It sounds to me like you may have some problems with your setup/config of the irc client.

I'm not too familiar with the ones you described, but I would start there...

Let us know,

Mike

Thanks for sugestion ...I will look at those, first I tought it might
had something to do with /mode command but apperently it didn't.
I'll try confg file and I will let you know how it went...
again thanks
btw. it's not just *****x, it's all of my irc clients that do that.
