Attaching Messages in Outlook
After I have created a message in Outlook XP, how can I attach a received message to it? Forwarding the message doesn't provide the necessary header info needed by the recipient.

Not positive if the settings are the same between 2000 and XP.

Under e-mail option...
There is a field for replying and forwarding that you can change to how you want to include the original message. One of those options is to attach it as a file. That would be the fastest way.

One way of attaching received messages, is to highlight all the ones you are planning to send by holding the Ctrl button then click on the Forward button. All the mail will be sent as an attachment and it will still let you write your message. Another way, is to simply hold and drag the messages from the inbox to your Attachment box in your New Message.
