I have saved contacts as a group, and am attempting to send to that group such that the "to" line reads only the group name, not all contacts within the group. Problem is, I type the group name in the "to" line, and all contacts are listed in outgoing e-mail.

How can I correct this? Is it done when I am setting the group up or when I initiate the e-mail?

Sorry drew
To my knowledge, it doesn't work that way.

Put yourself in the To: field and put everyone else in the BCC field. Very common, little-known bit of email etiquette.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Dreamboat. I appreciate the advise. Is there another program which is capable of addressing a group without all names being listed? Thaks!

Not to my knowledge.

However! Go to http://www.slipstick.com.
They've got a bunch of downloadable little programs that work with Outlook that do stuff. They may have one that will do what you want.

Thank you Dreamboat. I have installed Outlook 2000 and will play around with this awhile to see if it can do what I need. Appreciate your help, and consider this case solved. (do I indicate this on this thread? If so, how, so I can get with the program...) Thanks!
