IE6 Critical Error
W98, IE6
No Print function on command from browser to printer. CAN print via 3rd party visible screen capture.

Error message EXACTLY as described in KB Q-303486, but I can't find "encapsulated post script" anywhere.

Really in a pickle on this and need to print a full document. HELP???
ALSO: Printer MFG contacted, recommended uninstalling/reinstalling printer s/w; did not with no correction of problem.

hello bas
I found this for you.... Hope it helps

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Internet Explorer, when you attempt to print a Web page to a file, one of the following behaviors may occur:

When you print the Web page to a file by using the Print command on the File menu, you receive an error message similar to the following:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 1210 Char: 1
Error: Unspecified error.
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
-or-

When you print the Web page to a file from within the Print Preview window, you receive the following error message:

There was an internal error, and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document.
In each case, the document is printed correctly.
CAUSE

This behavior occurs if both of the following conditions are true:

You use a PostScript printer driver.

-and-

You select Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) output in the printer name Properties dialog box, where printer name is the name of your PostScript printer.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, clear the Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) output selection in the printer name Properties dialog box.

see if the driver is updatable (You use a PostScript printer driver).

Victory!!!!!
Re: Q-293176

Follow to the letter. Although IE6 is not mentioned in the above, somehow the IEPEERS.DLL file that is loaded with the new browser version IE6 is the version for WIN2000. Make sure you replace it with the WIN98 version. Register new file as directed; re-start.
Bring up a document to print; click on File - Print - VOILA!!!

It's been a long...couple days without a printer. God Bless Savvy!
