Windows 98 Startup message error

When I start the PC i get the following error message:Unable to load the dynamic link library. MSNP32.DLL. The system cannot find the file specified. Some or all of the following features is not available.
MICROSOFT NETWORK
Any ideas what this means or what I can do about it. Thanx. Mark.

That file is used for network cards. Probably need to uninstall and reinstall nic.
