Talking Thanx a bunch!!
Well you guys come through again.. I though I was the only dolt who was dumb enough to download this driver, but guess what..I DID!! My CD RW dissappeared, and my HD controlers got replaced with this Intel thing, and from what I gathered it was a set of drivers for Ultra ATA. Anyway I looked a your links and posts, and went into update wizard uninstall and there they were, plain as day.. Removed them, rebooted, and bingo we're back in buisness.. From now on if I use the Windows update, I will only d-load IE security patches or fonts....(maybe not even those). Thanks for comming through for a problem that was causing me to pull my hair out..

P.S. For those who don't know where the uninstall update wizard is the file is called "upwizun.exe" -some people don't!

I thought I lost my touch after that disaster of an update.
My pc booted and said "BLAAGHH". I should have smelled a rat when a message popped up saying:
"Warning!! There isnt enough hard disk space to save your previous FIFO settings"

I just did a SCANREG /RESTORE and was back like nothing ever happened. =O)
