Solved: Pasted Data Match Pick List Values
I have a workbook that has about 10 pick lists (drop down boxes) in it. When I paste in my data, the data does not "Select" it's value from a pick list so the data looks like it is in an improper format. How can I have my pasted data, choose that value from the pick list, other than going to ever drop down box, and manually selecting?

A Pick-List is just that a Pick-List, you pick the data, if you paste data in the same place it dows nothing until you click the picklis.

Since I don't know what your sheet looks like I can't offer any alternative options

If my query holds the same data as the values of the pick list...when i paste that data into the spreadsheet will the values be picked up by the pick list?

Ex. If my query says shoes in column A...and shoes is a valid value from the pick list for column A would shoes be selected from the pick list in column A when pasted in?

Let's see if I understand you correctly.
You hace certain cells in which the value is determined by a Pick-list, Datavalidation?
Now you paste values from your query into these same cells.
Okay, the values will be displayed as they are and will not he checked if they are valid.
The value remains there, but if you select that cell and the value is not in the picklist, it will genate an error when you manually try to change it, but it will not be bothered by data enrty via copy and paste
I hope I explain myself a little
I ahave attached a small sample.

Sheet1 is the one woith the picklist in columnA
Sheet 2 contains a series of values which you can manually copy and paste (as values) into Sheet 1
Sheet3 ColumnA contains the Pick-List values
If you copy ColumnA from Sheet2 into ColumnA in Sheet1 (the values only) then you will notice that ROW6 is entered in the first Row of sheet1 but is is not a valid value according to the PicklIst,
If you try and change it by clicking the cell and then strike Enter you will het an error but if you leave it at that no problem.
I hope this illustrates my explanation a little.
