I have a spreadsheet that each column splits out the numbers in one cell setup as an array, numbers separated by commas.

So for example, an array cell has 2,345,789, 2839

the four columns to the right show each number in each column.

These columns have an elaborate formula but they all relate to the cell with the array, in the case $C.

When I copied and pasted the formulas in the other columns in order to extract each number in the array, here is the issue I was confronted with. I changed the relative number so it would use the array cell; example $G was changed to $C the column the array is in.

For some reason, columns I through M, after I save the spreadsheet or refresh it, always revert back to $G, while the other columns remain at $C.

i just made the changes and saved the spreadssheet

then opened again and hte changes remain OK

what else are you doing - try saving with save as and change the name

I tried saving under another name, and it seems OK. Interesting that some cells saved but others did not.
I reopened file and it saved.


Remember the file I gave you did not have an OBDC table connection that I need to refresh.

i suspect the ODBC only updated column C - is that correct ?

what happens if you save with a different name and update odbc

Originally the file saved only col F to H, did not for the next 4 and did for the next few.

I seemed to resolve when saved under new name.
