Access 2007 Switchboard
Hello. I want to have my switchboard open when the database opens. I knew how to do this in 2003 but I am lost in 2007.

Thanks!

It is the same as 2003, either use an "Autoexec" macro or the Start-up properties.
Of course in true Microsoft fashion they have hidden the start-up, it is now in the Round Icon at the top left corner of the database.
Access Options>Current Database.

There are lots of useful properties in there.

Can I suggest that you download the free Interactive – Access 2003 to Access 2007 command reference from the Microsoft Office site.

Great! Now how do I get the old form to not startup? I am using the Contact Management template and it comes up with the Contact List form as the default when the database is launched.

Thanks!

Replace it with the form you want, either in the macro or the startup.

When I went to Access Options / Current Database - it didn't have a form there so I entered the one I wanted. I don't know where to remove the form that comes up. I will post it so you can see what the problem is first hand.

There is a Macro called "Autoexec" which the database runs before anything else.
Just delete the macro or replace the form with the one you want. But don't do it for both Start-up and Macro.
