I know you broke it down for me, but was looking for a list somewhere | Those are not part of the Excel Object model, those are variables defined by the user. The important part is what it has been Dim'med as (dimensioned) and how it is used.

#32 | Thanks, that's quite a compliment coming from a guy who has articles in the VBAX KB
I just like trying to figure out problems
Dreambringer, as for a list of objects and methods, I generally study code that other people write and apply that to the stuff I try to script. I think the VBA help docs are pretty good at addressing most of the issues, but VBAExpress.com has some really good scripts; also, the people that put up code here at TSG are authors worth studying.
GL and happy coding,

#33 | Chris, I am honored and humbled by your generous view of me. But I am a simple man who likes simple things. I do enjoy what I have been able to do, but honestly, I am a fledgling to many, even many on this board. I still learn something new each time I post to boards.
Also, Dreambringer, btw, If you go into your Visual Basic Editor (Alt + F11) and hit F2, it will bring up your Object Browser, where you'll be able to surf the Object Model. It's truly a great source of information to study, and a good way to reach a further understanding of an Object Model. | | Senior Member with 1,354 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Austin, Texas Experience: If its broken, Reformat.. |

#35 | I know this is solved, so just FYI ... it turns out that Glas's original solution does the exact same as "The Smart Difference", a function of ASAP Utilities. ASAP is a free add-in with many functions. You can Google it easily ; just thought I'd mention it as you seem to have various data manipulation "issues". | | Distinguished Member with 4,511 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Oregon, United States Experience: I'ma learnin'! |

#36 | That does do the same thing, as long as the OP wanted to insert a new row even after the non-duplicate items. | | Distinguished Member with 7,166 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: The void AKA edge of the Fens Experience: I bent my wookie :( |

I was thinking of "Actually either way would work" from post 13, and subsequent post along the lines of "actually I could just use subtotals". | | Distinguished Member with 4,511 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Oregon, United States Experience: I'ma learnin'! |
