Any Lotus Notes guru's out there?
I have MS Win2000 sp4, Lotus Notes 4.6, when i try to log in it gives a message, "invalid formula", not the ususal "wrong password" message. My IT guy has reloaded Lotus and can log onto Lotus using his PW, so lotus works, just cant get into my data base, any ideas out there?

I know this is an old thread, but am posting in case someone searches for this thread later on. Try having him give you a new copy of your ID file. Maybe your ID file has become corrupted.

Do you get this message when you try to open a database? Does it come up before or after you enter your password? It could be a corrup desktop file or if you have scan for unread set, it could be a corrupt database. Get you IT guy to try opening your mail file when he is logged on with his id and see if he can do that with no problem. If that works, get him to run nupdate on your data directory. If that doesn't work, delete the desktop.dsk file from your data directory, you will loose all the icons from your Notes workspace but at least you will be able to get into Notes. As you add your icons back on, try opening each one to see which gives the error. The error is probably coming from notes trying to open a form with computed fields on it where the value in the fields is incorrect.

If none of this works, come back to me

Probably won't happen since the original post is a year and a half old!
