Can't find Office 2000 Key for reinstall
I need to reinstall Office 2000 from the orriginal CD, But I can'nt
locate my key. The reinstall is necessary because I had to perform
a Factory Restore.

Is there a way to get the key by searching the CD it self ?

I highly doubt it since that would make it extremely easy to pirate. I would suggest calling Microsoft. When I installed my licensed copy of Office 2000 on a new computer, I called their product key/installation hotline, and I had a key in just a few minutes with minimum on-hold time.

Thumbs up (Solved)
Gave them all the numbers on the CD and they created a Key.
Thanks, Borgward

In future, check to see if you have the number before formatting. If you find you do not have it, then you can find it in your Registry.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
entVersion and scroll down in the right window to ProductKey.
