Ugh...ditto for me...getting this same error since making the mistake of installing an update to Nero 8 on top of the older version. When the error popped up I thought I would uninstall Nero 8, use the Nero clean tool and reinstall. The error message continued after the uninstall and clean and persists now even tho I've reinstalled Nero 8 after using the Nero clean tool.

I have an integrated memory card reader on my HP Pavillion running Windows Media Center. Also have a USB hub. However there have been no changes in any hardware during this process, so I doubt these are the problem.

You have a card reader. Follow the instructions for renaming drives. A card reader is a drive.

Boy, I'm starting to see a pattern here. Seems to me that a fare amount of people who have this issue are using HP's. I tried changing the drive letter and got zilch for results. Still had the error message. But as others I too have an HP Pavillion. In my case as I stated earlier, it was my card reader or the USB ports. If you have the original HP software, go into Start and then PC Help & Tools. Then you can go into HP Application Recovery. In that you have the option of recovering original software i.e. applications or Driver Recovery. Go into driver recovery and tick the 7 in 1 card reader or which ever one you have and hit enter or OK. This will reload the drivers for the card reader. I did this and WAH LAH, No more error message. Hope this helps and maybe you'll get faster results than I did. Good Luck

c000013 FIXED
Sportsfish - you ROCK! Your solution of the Driver Recovery by way of the HP Application recovery worked! I have tried over 20 things (uninstalling Quick Time, completely removing Nortin Anti-virus, etc., removing Media Player, etc.). Yours is the solution that fixed the problem!!

Hey Parker, Excellent! !!! Glad it worked out for you too!! This thing had me wound up like a top trying to figure it out. Although this site didn't lead me directly to the problem, it sure did give me a good start at finding it. Thanks again to all that contributed to this thread.

Smile No disk exception error message
Hi,

Just let everyone know what caused my problem. I have an internal Iomega Zip drive and recently D/L newest drivers for this drive and installed them. This caused my zip drive icon to change to a pretty little picture of a blue Iomega Zip when viewed in windows explorer or my computer where before it was listed as just a "removeable disk drive". Then my error messages started.

After many searches and tries, the final solution was to just change my drives ID letter using Start/Control panel/Administrative tools/computer management/disk management and change my drives assigned ID letter to a new one.

This changed my drives back to just a generic "removeable disk drive" with the pretty new icon gone and so was my problem.

Windows - no disk Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9
I tried many things includng System Restore and disabling many items in Startup. None worked. Someone in the Forum mentioned that XP was probably looking for a disk that was no longer there. I remembered then that I had disconnected a scanner from a USB port and replaced it with another but had not uninstalled the old scanner. Uninstalling the old scanner from the computer stopped the error message. Now I need to find out why the dozen or so System Restore points that I tried failed to be restored ("Could not restore computer to Month/day/year Restore Point". No changes made.)

Post Solution for Windows -No Disk Exception Processing Message
I came across this errod message today whilst looking at a customers computer. To all intents it appears to relate to an error conected with a drive or other data input device.

My solution is to go to Start-> Run-> and type in "msconfig" ( without the inverted commas of course)
When the menu appears click on the "Services" tab. Scroll down the list and look for "Smart Card" When you find it, stop the service by unticking the box.
Click OK and the select option to reboot your computer.

Hope this works for you
best regards
Norstech

Smile Windows no disk: Exception...
Thanks, AcaCandy, on the tip to, and method of, removing old Restore Points in Windows XP. I did so and also recuperated 2 GB of hard drive space!
