MS Word Opening Very Slowly
Hi

When opening MS Word it can take up to 90 seconds or more to open.
It has been the same for different versions of Word.

Have added more memory to Acer desktop now 512MB but still dong the same.

Any suggestions.

Quite often such delays in opening Word are caused by a virus program scanning your document. Most programs like Norton AV can be set NOT to scan your documents, which is a good idea. <lg>

I agree. Most of the time this slowness can be attributed to an anti-virus office plug in. What anti-virus software do you use if applicable?
