How do I change the size of the fonts
I'm using a spreadsheet in Word 2000. The font is Comic Sans MS, size 12. I have an HP laserjet 1020. When I print the spreadsheet the printer is giving me Ariel, size 10 or a size 8.

How do I get the printer to print exactly the size that I have on the spreadsheet?

The printer prints exactly the size and font I use in other documents. It's just in Word that it's acting like it has a mind of its own.

Thanks for any help!

xico

I would typically agree with that as well, but the OP or original poster was saying that the font changes as well.

To confirm, you are using a spreadsheet is Word and not Excel. Is that correct.

All other documents in Word, and Excel if you have it, print ok. Just this one particular spreadsheet in Word that doesn't print correctly.

If that is correct can you give any more information about how the spreadsheet was created in Word.

It sounds to me like you've chosen Comic Sans from a list of fonts available from a printer...a printer you are not printing to.

Surely it would have to be a very old printer that didn't accept Comic Sans. Isn't that the font style Primary Schools use?

First, My bad. Sorry. I'm using Works. Second, I just clicked on Spreadsheet in Works. I have not used the spreadsheet for anything else, but the printer works fine.

The spreadsheet prints fine, except it prints Ariel 10, and it prints about a quarter of the page; that is the spreadsheet is on a quarter of the page. It would be nice if I could get it to print as a whole page. The spreadsheet is so small that it's almost a joke.

With Works you should be able to change the font size.

On the left end of the Spreadsheet tool bar, you can change the font name and size. You will then have to resize the columns as needed to display all the text entries.
