Outlook Problem
My Laptop had a fatal error and as a result I had to do a full re-install, all the programs went back in ok apart from Outlook.
I have attached a screen shot of the error message I am getting, word excel etc.. are working fine.
I have tried to get to the file it mentions but im lost as it asks what program i need to run ...totally confused.

Try this:

Hit Start-->Run and type scanpst.exe and hit Enter.
When you run this application, it should ask you what file to run it on. Browse to the C:\Users\Lynn......outlook.pst file to which the error refers. Do NOT double-click the outlook.pst file. Outlook will NOT open a PST file in this manner like other applications do.

If this is a brand new OS reinstall your PST file will be empty. You can just delete or rename the PST and let Outlook automatically create a brand new one for you.

Do a Windows search for any file with the extension .pst

When you perform the search you will use *.pst as the name of the file you are searching for. The file is probably hidden so you'll want to use the advanced search option to enable searching for hidden files.

Here is a link that explains how to search for files in Vista:

The path to Outlook's PST is normally located:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your_User_Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Rollin
