Smile Can't print embedded images in Outlook 2003
Hi there

I wonder if someone could help me out. I'm trying to help another user I work with to print emails that contain embedded images but all that appears on the printed page is a red "x" in place of the image. I have no such problems on my system (I'm using XP with svpk2 and Office 2003) and we have the same PC setup\platform.

The image appears on screen in full and it's OK but as soon as it's printed the red x appears. I've also tried this with Word, Excel and it's all good whether on screen or printed age so it's soley to do with Outlook.

I'd be greatful for any help that anyone can provide. Thanks in advance.

Gary.

Hi Gary

I've experienced the same problem but have a workaround. Open the email up (don't print it from the preview screen) and then click on the Print icon button which is near the menu bar.

It works for me.

I'm not sure why this particular button is configured to include imbedded images for printing. If you find out - or if anyone knows, please post a reply here!

Hope this helps,
Cheers
Jess

Hi there - sorry for the late reply but I've been on leave :-)

Thank you for getting back to me, I'll go visit the user in question, apply the "workaround" and get back to you.

Cheers

Red face Workaround...
Hi Jess

I tried your workaround but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Once again, thanks for getting back to me.

Can you print it out when she forwards that exact e-mail to you? Is this affecting all emails or just the one?

Hi there

I have no problems at all printing the emails that are sent on to me from the affected user. And it only affects emails with embedded graphics. All else is OK.

Thanks.

Have you tried logging in on her PC and seeing if you had issues then? If you do not have issues, then try creating a new profile for her within MS Outlook and see if she still has issues.
