Are you backing up to another computer or to a network location?

Try manually creating and opening other file types (.xls, .txt, .doc) in the same network location to see if it is a user rights issue.

Create a brand new database and try running the code on it to test whether the orginal database had some corruption which transferred to the backup copy. I'm not sure what else to tell you since I can't duplicate the issue. Can you email me the DB?

I will take a look at it on Monday since I do not have Office 2003 installed at home.

Sounds good.

Just out of curiosity, could the macro be setup to run at the end of the week or month?

Were you able to get the backup database to display the same errors I was getting?

When I try to extract the zip file I am getting an error "Windows has blocked the file from being extracted"

I'm not sure why I am getting this error since I don't get it when I extract any other files on my PC including MDB files.

Regards,
Rollin

The backup file opened just fine with no errors. Sorry I'm not sure what to tell you but I'll keep researching.
