Hebrew in Outlook, Word
I am having a tough time being able to produce documents in Hebrew in word and emails in outlook, I have hebrew fonts and I have configured Office Tools and the language settings to include hebrew but no luck

everytime I select a hebrew font, and start typing it defaults back to the english font and I get nothing

thanks for your help

Switch the keyboard language

*

Have Microsoft Word automatically detect the language of text you type. Individual languages must be enabled (enabled languages: Languages that can be added for text editing in Microsoft Office programs. These languages are in addition to the installed language version of the product, and provide additional features to work in a mixed-language environment.) for editing.
*

Use the Keyboard Language button Button image to change the keyboard language (keyboard language: The language selected for entering text.) of text. (This button is displayed by default only on the Formatting toolbar in the right-to-left language versions of Microsoft Word; otherwise, you must manually add it to the toolbar.) The letters on this button change to reflect the keyboard language in use.

I did what you advised, and added the language box to the formatting menu and selected "Hebrew" and selected a Hebrew font, but when I start typing, it switches back to the English font and "English" in the language box?!@#!@?

It is supposed to be pretty straight-forward, as described here
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...884621033.aspx
You are clicking ok and not cancel, aren't you? (Sorry, it's all I can think of...about like asking if it is plugged in.)

Go to Tools, Language, Set Language. Find Hebrew in the list and highlight it. Click Okay. You will note in the list that some of the languages are checked. This is what you need for Hebrew to be accepted as the language for a style. (I would create a new style, based on the Normal style, but with the language changed. I was able to do this, for instance, using French.)

On the Windows Start menu, point to Control Panel, and then click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options.
Click the Regional and Language Options icon, and then click the Languages tab.
In the Supplemental languages support box, select the check boxes that correspond to the languages you want to use. There is also a check box for "Install files for complex right-to left languages (including Thai)" - be sure to check that.

I never use Outlook, but if you make Hebrew your default language perhaps it would work. In Outlook I would look at Options, Mail Format, Fonts, International Fonts. You may have to choose David or another Hebrew font as your default here.
