Angry Solved: Dependent Combo Box
Hi, I would appreciate any help on this problem as it is now driving me up the wall.

I have created a dependent combo box that selects Staff Names dependent on the Office that is selected in another combo box. This works okay.

However, I cannot get it to hold the data and what ever data is selected in the 1st record goes into all of the other records.

Please help!

You are not "Binding" your second Combo to a field on the Form and in the table.
This means that it is not "Saved" and not linked to each record.
To "Bind" the combo, in it's Properties Click on "Control Source" and then choose the appropriate field from the drop down list on the right hand side.

Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly. This is still not working.

My DB contains a PersonalDetails table for our client details from which I created a Form through a query, as the data comes from other tables as well. I have now created another table called Office with a Subtable containing the staff details for each office.

What I want to do is add an Office combo box to the Personal Details form so that we can allocate each client to an office. Then I want to add a dependent combo box to the form so that we can allocate a member of staff from that office to the client.

Hope this makes some sense

It makes complete sense, can you take a copy of your database, it needs to be in Access 2000 to 2002 format, remove any sensitive data from the Copy, Zip it up and either post it on here as an attachment using the "Go Advanced" and then Manage Attachments Buttons, or email it to me.

The file is 25 MB so I can't post it here. I've tried to Zip it but it doesn't get any smaller. Any advice?

Did you Compact & Repair it first?
Is the database "Secured"
You can email it to me.
