gimp font problems
When i install new font into the fonts section in control panel, it doesnt show up in gimp. it shows up in adobe photoshop, windows paint, but not gimp. ive tried reinstalling gimp, doesnt fix the issue.

You need Fontconfig. http://fontconfig.org/wiki/
Here is the info for Windows and Linux:http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-using-fonts.html
and here is the page for Unix:
